Cornwallis

Wow what an enjoyable day we all had. Lovely to see so many parents, grand parents and aunts and uncles as well. Great to see the amazing sandcastles being built with a lot of flair amongst the juniors. The water was lovely and looked like was enjoyed by both kids, parents and teachers.

Read to self

Busy bees building on their stamina for 'read to self', which is part of the daily 5 Routines we do each day in reading. We can now read silently for 10minutes. Well done!!!

Collage art

The last couple of weeks we have been very busy learning about all the routines and expectations when at school. What is equally important is the children learning about themselves and their classmates. One angle of this is exposing our children to self portraits and what is special about us. Room 1 have done an amazing colourful job of their sel portrits and these are hanging up in Room 1 for you to view. Below are some photos of some very proud children busy finishing their portraits or smiling with their completed piece.

Lamingtons!

Room 1 and 2 letter of the week has been the letter 'Ll'. What better way to celebrate this we think is making yummy laminations. We all got to dip it in chocolate, add coconut and then best of all eat it.

Play Ball

Play Ball visited our school last week and did various small ball games with the Junior school. As you can see a lot of fun and high pitched squeals (mainly from the girls) was seen.

Class photo

Wow what a gorgeous bunch of children. Unfortunately you are unable to see the chair the children are sitting on. It is a rainbow coloured friendship chair especially designed for us by our own 'Mrs Hogan'.
Room 1 are lucky to have a student teacher in our classroom this year 'Miss Jackson'. Kerryn Jackson is with us for the next couple of weeks and will then come back every Tuesday.
